The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the social life of adolescent students. The primary focus of this article is to analyze the impact of the development of digital technology on the social skills of adolescent students. The method used was a systematic literature review (SLR) of 400 articles, and 29 articles were selected based on strict inclusion criteria to ensure the quality and relevance of the data. The article was selected using the Covidence tool with a database collected from Google Scholar using Publish or Perish. Then, data from the selected articles were extracted using the PRISMA flow. The results of this study indicate that digital technology has a dual impact: on the one hand, it strengthens social skills, but on the other hand, it disrupts the development of greater social skills. In addition, integrating digital technology into education has changed the learning model and expanded access to the development of digital-based social intelligence in the academic environment. This article concludes the importance of a balanced approach in using digital technology to ensure optimal adolescent social skills development.
