Abstract

The valley conditions of the Wotawati Hamlet mean that the community only receives about seven to eight hours of sunlight per day, resulting in a different time rhythm compared to other areas. This study aims to examine how this time rhythm shapes social interaction patterns, primary socialization processes, and collective life practices of the Wotawati Hamlet community. The study used a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods to understand the community's subjective experiences in interpreting the rhythm of daily life. The results show that the time rhythm in Wotawati Hamlet influences the community's social activity patterns. Mornings are used by the community to strengthen family interactions before starting work activities, while evenings become the main space for collective social activities. Furthermore, the involvement of children in family and community activities indicates that the primary socialization process continues through the community's daily practices. This study shows that local time rhythms impact social practices, intercommunity relationships, and culturally based social education processes in rural community life.
