This study examines the ecomuseum as a pedagogical framework for contextual history learning through the case of Kasepuhan Sinar Resmi, an indigenous community characterized by strong traditions of environmental conservation and local wisdom. While previous studies have primarily approached ecomuseums through tourism and cultural preservation, their integration into formal history education remains underexplored. Using a literature review and case-study analysis, this study identifies community social structures, rituals, and natural resource management practices that correspond to the ecomuseum principles of territory, in-situ conservation, and community participation. The findings demonstrate that Kasepuhan Sinar Resmi functions as a living museum in which cultural heritage, local history, and ecological knowledge are interconnected. Based on these findings, the study proposes an ecomuseum-based contextual history learning model that integrates Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) with critical ecopedagogy. The model connects historical understanding with ecological awareness, conservation ethics, and community-based learning. The study contributes an operational framework for incorporating ecomuseum principles into formal history education, transforming local heritage environments from objects of study into active spaces for historical inquiry, ecological reflection, and conservation-oriented learning.
