Peranan penting sejarah lokal sebagai objek pembelajaran untuk membangun kesadaran sejarah

Abstract

Local history is at the forefront as a link between society and history. Ideally, the implementation of this local history can be integrated into history lessons at school and on campus. This article analyzes the important role of local history as an object of historical learning to build historical awareness whose problem formulations include: (1) How can local history be the object of historical learning? (2) How can local history shape historical awareness? The author uses the literature study method by collecting several articles from research results that are in accordance with the research study theme and other written sources. The results showed that local history has played an important role in shaping historical awareness, especially in the digital era. The use of local history is considered to be effective in forming historical awareness of students and even the community because it is a medium or means of forming collective memory and national identity. Local history is a reference for introducing students to the environment around them by presenting historical relics as a form of culture.
