Asal muasal wong Jonegoro: Tinjauan historis hubungan wong Kalang dan masyarakat Samin Bojonegoro

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the relationship between Wong Kalang and the Samin Community in Bojonegoro. Wong Kalang and the Samin Society are the historical origins of the local Bojonegoro residents. I use a historical method consisting of heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. This study indicates that there are two assumptions about the relationship between Wong Kalang and the Samin Bojonegoro Community. The first assumption states that there is a bond between Wong Kalang and the Samin Society. This assumption is based on the culture, teachings, behavior, and characteristics of the place where both of them live. Meanwhile, the second assumption states no relationship and attachment between Wong Kalang and the Samin Community in Bojonegoro. This assumption is based on Kubur Kalang is evidence of differences in the religious system of burials between Wong Kalang and the Samin Bojonegoro Community.
