Abstract

The writing of PSPB textbooks was inseparable from the policies of the New Order government, which focuses policies and strategies to embody the spirit of patriotism, instill the values of enthusiasm ‘45 to the next generation of the nation starting from policies and policies (elementary, middle and high school). This article wants to analyze the process of deconstruction of the interpretation of Indonesian History during the New Order through the Education Policy of the History of the Nation’s Struggle which was present in the form of PSPB textbooks, which had been applied at the elementary school and budget levels during the New Order. Deconstruction is part of an effort to raise criticism of critical questions, not just to accept them as a source of information. The deconstruction view will reject binary files that have a hierarchy - chosen as a narrowing of meaning - will only present a singular and universal meaning. The singularity of meaning towards the existence of a present transcendent metaphysics. The singular meaning will corner the others. In the PSPB text, it is difficult to find or not in the text that discusses the role of civil society, the development of socialism in Indonesia, Seokarno’s role as the initiator.
