Abstract

The purpose of this article is 1) to describe the dynamics of the formulation of the opening of the third Constitution on August 18, 1945, and 2) to describe the dynamics of the formulation of the opening of the third paragraph of the Republic of Indonesia until the Presidential Decree of July 5, 1959. used in writing this article is a method of historical writing. The findings indicate that on August 18, 1945, at the suggestion of Mr. I Gusti Ketut Pudja The opening of the third paragraph of the 1945 Constitution which reads “On the blessing of the Grace of God ...” has been replaced with “On the blessing of God’s Grace ...”. The proposal also did not get a refusal from other PPKI trial participants, so Sukarno finally ratified the aforementioned Opening with the approval of all PPKI members.
