Penggunaan kanal YouTube “Pahamify” untuk meningkatkan pemahaman literasi digital siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah

Abstract

This research was motivated by students’ low understanding of digital literacy in history learning in class XI IPS 1 SMA Edu Global Bandung. At the planning stage, researchers used the “Pahamify” YouTube channel as the main learning media by maximizing the use of every tool in the media. The implementation of history learning using the “Pahamify” YouTube channel to increase students’ understanding of digital literacy was carried out in four cycles. The research results show that there is an increase in students’ digital literacy understanding through the use of the “Pahamify” YouTube channel in each cycle. This research uses the Classroom Action Research method with a Kemmis and Mc Taggart design. In cycle I, the percentage of students’ understanding of digital literacy was 33%, which shows that students’ understanding of digital literacy was still low because the use of the “Pahamify” YouTube channel was not optimal. In cycle II, the average percentage of students’ understanding of digital literacy increased to 38%, which shows that students already have sufficient understanding of digital literacy because there was an increase in each indicator. In cycle III there was an increase to 67%, which shows that students already have a good understanding of digital literacy. In cycle IV, understanding of digital literacy increased by 94%, and thus it can be concluded that the use of the YouTube channel “Pahamify” can increase students’ understanding of digital literacy in history learning in class XI IPS 1 SMA Edu Global Bandung.
