Abstract

Oral history is important in the study of history as it can develop skills to analyse and evaluate the nature of historical memory process. By oral history, the resource persons, the living perpetrators of  history, can relate their experiences  in the past with the present social context, and how the experiences are continued and be a part of their present values. Therefore, oral history for studying Indonesia contemporary history is significant to enrich data for teaching and writing history textbook and books.
