Peer Review Process
The peer review process is to ensure the quality of manuscripts before publication. Generally, the submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by two to three experts in related research areas. They will evaluate the submitted manuscripts for the originality, validity and significance and help the editorial team determine whether the manuscripts should be accepted for publication.
All the submissions to The Journal Gastronomy Tourism will undergo double-blind peer review process, which means the reviewer identity is concealed from the author, and vice versa, throughout the review process.
All manuscripts submitted to this journal must follow focus and scope, and author guidelines of this journal. Submitted manuscripts must use the template, citation manager and proofread. Authors must have affiliation and the editors will check through google scholar and PDDIKTI (Indonesian Academics Database), an exception is only for international authors. The submitted manuscripts must address scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope. All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents and checked by designated software which not exceeds 25% similarity. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do the similarity checking. Editors will check the plagiarism detection of articles in this journal by using a Turnitin software.
The research article submitted to this journal will be peer-reviewed at least 2 (two) or more expert reviewers. The reviewers give scientific valuable comments improving the contents of the manuscript.
The final decision of articles acceptance will be made by the Editors according to reviewers' comments. Publication of accepted articles including the sequence of published articles will be made by Editor in Chief by considering a sequence of accepted date and geographical distribution of authors as well as a thematic issue.
PUBLICATION PROCESS MAP
- The article has to use the journal template and must be prepared according to the author guidelines. Otherwise, the section editor will have the right to reject the submission.
- The Author (s) have to register an account and fill all the details for metadata to https://ejournal-social.upi.edu/gastur/user/register
- Submit the file only with the extension of .doc or .docx
- The author will be informed by the editor to fill the ethics statement letter by email.
- The article will be reviewed by the expert according to the topic.
- The reviewer will give a suggestion whether the article is accepted or must be reviewed and the final decision will be given by the Editor in Chief.
- The author must revise the article within a period of time (usually 2-3 weeks).
- The editor will notify the author through the open journal system and email.
- Upon finishing the revision, the author must re-upload the file through the website.
- The editor will re-examine the revision according to the reviewers' comments and suggestions. Afterwards, we will issue Letter of Acceptance.
- The article will be processed in a journal layout.
- The article will be granted a d.o.i
- The article will be published on google scholar within 1 month
