Hubungan Literasi Informasi Bencana dengan Ketepatan Merespons Informasi Para Anggota Relawan: Studi Korelasi

Information is essential for disaster volunteers to understand emergency situations. This study aims to determine the relationship between disaster information literacy and the accuracy of responding to information. The independent variable is information literacy, which consists of the ability to access, evaluate, and use information. The dependent variable is the accuracy of responding to information. Volunteers from the Tentara Langit community in the Bogor region served as the sample for this study. The sample was selected using simple random sampling, resulting in 50 respondents. The statistical method employed was correlational analysis using Spearman’s correlation test. The findings indicate that disaster information literacy has a very strong relationship with the accuracy of information response. The ability to access information has a strong relationship with the accuracy of information response. The ability to evaluate information also has a strong relationship with the accuracy of responding to information. Furthermore, the ability to use information has a strong relationship with the accuracy of responding to information. This confirms that the higher a volunteer’s disaster information literacy, the higher the accuracy of their decision-making in disaster management. From these results, it can be concluded that disaster information literacy plays a crucial role in supporting the accuracy of volunteers’ responses to disaster information.
