Indonesia’s declining quality of education can be due to changes in education not coupled with adaptive and dynamic change in principles of learning, especially in history learning. During this time the learning of history continues to make teachers the only learning resource and does not make technology the primary tool to support learning activities.In this study, researchers use a qualitative approach to study by descriptive methods to help researchers understand deeply the issues that are the focus of the researcher. As for the data-collection techniques used by researchers, interviews, observations, and documentary studies. Based on research activities, history learning schemes by applying a blended learning, youtube based model could create a new learning principle that the author calls the SIMBAS (ready, interactive, independent and free). SIMBAS is a principle of learning offered by the writer to change the mindset of the teacher of history in understanding the essence of today’s learning, of the rigidity of the mindset by making the teacher the sole source of learning, to an adaptive and dynamic mind-set by making the teacher a facilitator.
