The Role of Human Resources in the Development of Educational Tourism in Cibiru Wetan Tourism Village

Abstract

Tourism development activities essentially involve the role of all stakeholders, tourist villages place the community as the main actor in developing tourism in the village. The development of the Cibiru Wetan Educational Tourism Village with an education-based approach has attracted tourists to visit to seek educational and authentic experiences. However, the Cibiru Wetan Tourism Village still has shortcomings related to human resources which refer to the lack of competent human resources in the field of tourism. The research method used is qualitative by using observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques which aim to check the truth of information from various sources. The condition and role of human resources in the Cibiru Wetan Tourism Village are still not optimal because in terms of quality there has been no optimal tourism training, so that some human resources do not understand tourism, one of which is guiding. From the development of existing educational tourism, it is necessary to increase the selling value for several tour packages offered. And it is necessary to take a competency test in the field of tourism, especially guiding, in order to improve the quality of tourist villages and educational tourism products.
